Professor of Economics, TED University

Semih Tumen is a Professor of Economics at TED University, and Research Fellow at the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and Institute of Labor Economics (IZA). His research focuses on labour economics, economics of migration/refugees, development economics, social networks, and causal inference. Semih holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the Middle East Technical University, an M.Sc. in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from London School of Economics & Political Science, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago. He has served as Deputy Governor, Monetary Policy Committee Member, Head of Structural Economic Research, and Deputy Head of Monetary Policy at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.
