Ridwan Karim is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto.
His research lies at the intersection of development economics, political economy, and international trade, with a particular interest in how electoral outcomes and extreme weather events shape economic and political behavior. His current research projects are based in Brazil and Bangladesh.
