Michele Imbruno

Michele Imbruno is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, and an External Research Fellow at the Nottingham Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP), UK. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Nottingham (UK), and a Ph.D. in Economics and Technology for Sustainable Development from the University of Foggia (Italy). He also obtained an M.A. in International Economics from the University of Sussex (UK) and a Master in European Studies from the Université Libre de Bruxelles & the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce (Belgium) and an MSc in Economics from the University of Foggia (Italy). Before joining Sapienza University of Rome, he held academic positions at the University of Verona (Italy), CERDI, Université Clermont Auvergne and CNRS (France), IMT Lucca (Italy), and the University of Foggia (Italy). He has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank and as an Intern at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Assocamerestero. His main research interests lie in International Economics, Development Economics, Industrial Organization, and Applied Microeconometrics. His works primarily focus on firm-level adjustments to globalisation and have been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of International Economics, Journal of Development Economics, and Journal of Comparative Economics.
