Sharif Kazemi
Summer Fellow, GovAI
Sharif Kazemi is Policy and Strategy Lead at the World Bank Group's Development Impact AI Lab, which he joined as a McNamara Fellow. He advises governments on scaling high-potential AI use cases across departments and on building specialised AI capabilities within individual units. He holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations and History from the London School of Economics and a master's in Public Policy and Economic Development from Columbia University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He is currently on sabbatical as a summer fellow at the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI), studying the use of AI systems in government decision-making.
