Hongyuan Xia

Hongyuan Xia is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Cornell University and an incoming Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong Business School. His research focuses on knowledge production, diffusion, and commercialization. His work has received multiple major recognitions, including Runner-Up for the INFORMS/Organization Science Best Dissertation Proposal Competition (2025), the Wharton Innovation Doctoral Symposium Best Paper Award (2025), and the DRUID Steven Klepper Best Paper Award. His research has also been presented at leading conferences such as the NBER Summer Institute. He received his B.A. in Economics from Peking University in 2020.
